Why a traysealer?
Through intelligent design, the all-electric Redpack Trayseal machine requires no compressed air to run.
Highly configurable, this machine has been designed to work with both our own and other manufacturers tooling ensuring previous investments can be utilised.
Suitable for a wide range of applications from berries, mushrooms and food-to-go items it is a versatile choice for pack house environments.
An intuitive operator screen allows for the machine set up to be quickly adjusted for product switchovers, pre saved settings allows print registration, film position, and printed code to be changed automatically.
Engineering and developing trayseal machinery for over 25 years
Our trayseal journey began in the mid-1990s and has continued to evolve since. The innovations through the late 90s and early 00s helped cement Redpack’s reputation as a pioneer in intelligent packaging automation.

Trayseal Machines - Key Features
1. Adaptable
Built to be compatible with other manufacturers tooling ensuring existing investment can continue to be utilised.
2. Quick & easy cleaning
Belt assemblies can be removed without the need of tools making it easy to clean and maintain, minimising downtime.
3. Reduced maintenance
Infeed and outfeed belts are self tracking with sliding guides, both features reducing the amount of maintenance required.
4. Accurate positioning
By using sensors rather than encoders homing is more accurate and allows for product misplacement to be identified and the machine to stop before the product enters the sealing area.
5. Intuitive HMI
Our HMI has been designed to support both operators and engineers. With one-touch menu access, product recipes can be quickly recalled, external printers monitored and controlled, errors identified, product settings adjusted, and more.
Trayseal Machines FAQs
What is a traysealing machine?
A traysealing machine seals a plastic, cardboard, or aluminum tray with a lidding film to protect the product inside.
What products can a trayseal machine be used for?
Trasyeal machines are used for a wide range of products that need secure, hygienic and well presented packaging in pre-formed trays. They are most commonly used for fresh meat, poultry, seafood, ready meals, food-to-go items, dairy products, fresh produce, bakery items, medical devices, and industrial components.
Can traysealing machines handle MAP?
Yes. Traysealers can support Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)
Are traysealing machines suitable for different tray sizes and materials?
Yes. Many machines use interchangeable tooling, allowing them to handle various tray shapes, sizes, and materials such as PET, PP, CPET, aluminum, and fiber-based trays.
Can traysealers be integrated into existing production lines?
Yes. Automatic traysealers can be integrated with filling systems, labeling machines, metal detectors, and checkweighers.
Do traysealing machines reduce packaging waste?
Yes. Compared to clamshells or rigid lids, traysealers use less material and can work with recyclable or compostable packaging solutions.
Can traysealing machines support sustainable packaging goals?
Absolutely. They are compatible with mono-material trays, recyclable films, and fiber-based packaging options.
Is trayseal the same as top seal?
Yes trayseal and top seal are the same thing.
